Live Zoom Story Session

In conjunction with the announced national scholar strike action, we would like to invite you to join us for a story session with Hal Eagletail later this week, all welcome. There is a full program of national teach-ins available online with excellent speakers. Expanding on this, the story Hal is sharing on Thursday afternoon brings the broad picture to us locally. What is the relevance of this national and international discussion on racism in general, Black and Indigenous Lives in particular for our southern Alberta region? Understanding history is part of this journey towards inclusion and equality. The story of the Tsuut’ina People, Treaty 7 signing, and how the reserve was established is a small piece of this puzzle.

Hal is a traditional Knowledge keeper from the Tsuut’ina Nation; he is a very popular Pow-Wow Mc working with tribes across North America and adviser to many cross-culture projects locally and nationally. He is an instructor with the fall 2020 Urban Design studio at SAPL.

If you are interested, join us Thursday, September 10, 2 pm-4 pm, zoom details above.
Session hosted at SAPL together with AEDE.
